2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

• Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your email address, full name, and authentication credentials via Google Firebase Authentication.
• QR Code & Campaign Data: Target URLs, custom slugs, vCard contact information, Wi-Fi network configurations, custom styling parameters (colors, shapes, logos, gradients), and campaign tags you create inside your dashboard.
• Scan Analytics (End-User Scans): When someone scans a dynamic QR code created on MideQR, we record aggregate scan metadata to provide analytics dashboards to the QR code creator. This includes approximate geographical location (country and city derived from IP), device type (iOS, Android, Desktop), browser user agent, referral source, and the timestamp of the scan. We do not track individual scanner identities across unrelated third-party websites.

3. Payment Information & Security

All payment transactions for MideQR Premium subscriptions and Lifetime licenses are processed through our PCI-DSS certified payment partner, Paystack.

MideQR never stores or handles your full credit or debit card numbers, expiration dates, or CVV security codes on our servers. Paystack provides us with only a secure transaction reference, payment status, and customer email to activate and verify your subscription.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage and essential cookies to:

• Maintain your secure authenticated session.
• Remember your preferred display currency (NGN, USD, or GBP) across visits.
• Remember your dark mode or light mode appearance preference.

5. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information exclusively to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the dynamic QR redirection service.
• Display real-time scan analytics and performance reports in your dashboard.
• Detect, prevent, and block fraudulent, abusive, or malicious phishing URLs.
• Notify you of important service changes, security alerts, and payment receipts.
• We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data or your scan logs.

6. Data Retention, Account & Data Deletion

You have full control over your data on MideQR. You have the right to:

• Edit or Delete QR Codes: You can modify target destinations or permanently delete any QR code and its associated scan logs at any time from your Library.
• Delete Account: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from your Profile settings.
• Export Data: You can export your scan analytics logs (CSV) and batch QR codes (ZIP) at any time.
